When i purchased it i was convinced that ti is from circa 1900. Now i'm told that it was made by karl rau 1945-1978 and is a reproduction. I could not find any information to support that. I think that it is a very nice stein. Measuring about 11.5 tall and 4/5 in diameter and is in excellent condition. The writing no the bottom says 1885 reinhard welner 1887. Every one of my auctions comes with a quote of shipment and handling within the us. It is the same ot any zip code in the us every package will be insured. You pay a flat raet of $1.70 for domestic shipments or $2.50 for international ones. Shipping i ship priority mail or fedex ground within the usa. Domestic buyers pay $1.70 flat fee for insurance and international buyers pay $2.50international packages will be shipped priroity mail internationl.
I do not ship wihtout a tracking number. I aim to ship as fast as possible after payment (with the exception of personal checks which have to clear first) but since i work alone sometimes it cannot be done. If i have to attend auctions then it will tale a little longer but iwll done as soon as possible. I have shipped thousands of packages so i really nkow how to pack.
I always use a good box, new bubble wrap and enough shipping peanuts. I normally do not double box. It is nto necessary most of the time. I do it when the item is heavy and fragile adn requires it.
